I loved the glassy face on this little shore breaker against blue greys. See more California Seacapes on this website "Before the Rain" 9"x12" oil on panel

![]() We actually do have fall in Southern California. This is a little demonstration painting I did for our workshop at the Eldorado Nature Center in Long Beach. It was about 90 degrees out on the trail, but we found a bit of shade and painted these Sycamore trees in our little snippet of nature left over from when the bulldozers carved out the 605 freeway. ![]() I am fortunate that I live in a place where the water is warm enough for the average person to go out for a little surf romp. This is a beach where a novice surfer like me can get a few waves after all the big surfers have gone home. Usually I would get stuck in the impact zone like this painting shows. Not to worry, the waves look scarier than the are and even less scary when I paint them later. " Spring Paddle-out" 16"x 20" oil on canvas |
