This is from a photo that I took out on one of my adventures. I loved the way the roses were in front of this window. I chose to make the inside of the window gold to show that the light is on inside at about 6 Am. While the roses are blooming in all their glory in the morning light one wonders if the person on the other side of the window will take time to notice. I have named this painting "Transcendance" 14"x18" oil on canvas
I spent the last three weeks painting only in the studio due to that little sea monster that stung me. I wished I could be running around chasing the light with the Plein Air Painters but I needed to keep my foot up.

This last summer I packed my painting gear down the long path to Crystal Cove. The water there is very clear, like its' namesake. I found this spot where there weren't too many rocks to step over. The rocks here are smooth sand stone and conglomerate. This rock sets the gateway for you to come and enjoy "Pure Life." |
