Painting between the rains
It is a beautiful time of the year to paint the wetlands here in Long Beach. We don't have many natural places left since everything was parceled and divided hundreds of years ago. This place is actually an old oil field that is home to many species of birds and other wildlife. There is a group called "Friends of The Los Cerritos Wetlands" that is working to to save this place from the bull dozers.
8x10 oil on canvas panel.
I don't consider myself to be a contest painter. In fact my goal is not to win ribbons, but to have my paintings enjoyed in on the walls of those who love the sea as much as I do.
This little pier painting is near to my home , so I paint it often. It was just purchased by a couple in Newport Beach from the SOCAL PAPA Gallery on Balboa Island. I have other paintings in there that are available. click here for exact location
The Gallery is located at the Balboa Fun zone. It is a wonderful place to visit especially in the evening. I recommend that place to bring a date, to enjoy with your visitors from out of town, or a great place to add to your own travel plans.
